The Lion Vs. The Tiger
It’s a fact that Tigers are much bigger, stronger, and faster animals than Lions. Although they may not look much more prominent, Tigers at their heaviest are 800 pounds of dense muscle compared to the max 550 pounds of a big Lion.
Advantage Tiger.
The Tiger is a brutal and fast fighter that hunts big game one on one. On the other hand, Lions typically hunt in packs and require help to take down large animals.
Again, advantage Tiger.
Lions rely on their teeth and mouth as primary weapons. Then, when an opportunity presents itself, they will attack with their claws. In contrast, Tigers have powerful hind legs. They use this power for leap attacks, which allow them to cover a greater distance and swipe with a more significant, heavier paw before the Lion can even reach them.
Once again, advantage Tiger.
The Results: A Fighting Chance
It’s no secret, the Tiger wins a majority of the time. But, notice I didn’t say all of the time. Even when forced to fight during Ancient Roman times, Lions were known to win on occasion, although the Tiger was always the heavy favorite.
Experts believe that a Tiger is likely to win 7 out of 10 matches against a Lion based on each animal’s size and aggressiveness.
Keeping in mind the Lion is so heavily outmatched and still, at times, wins is unbelievable. Experts have been able to attest this probability to only one thing.
Heart.
Conclusion
In life, it can seem like the odds are stacked against you. Similarly, when a Lion walks into a cage with a Tiger, the chances of it walking out aren’t great. But I want you to remember this, it is better to have tried and failed than to never have tried at all.
At the sight of the Tiger, the Lion could lay down and accept its fate. Instead, the Lion chooses to fight. It’s the belief in its own abilities and strong willpower that gives the Lion a chance to be victorious!
It doesn’t matter what race, color, or creed you are. The background you come from is of no consequence. Lastly, no matter the size or difficulty of your dream, it is possible to make it a reality despite the opposition.
Failing to try is still failing! So why not put forth your best effort regardless of the circumstances?
